This course started with the ART of PRACTICE
to STUDY LAYERS in WATERCOLOR.
I used what I had in my Studio, vintage EPHEMERA,
and started CREATING small but CURATED vignettes of
PAINTED PAPER LAYERS
Inside PAINTED PAPER LAYERS we explore
DESIGN
SHADOWS
LAYERING
CROPPING
and DETAILS
to create charming watercolors ready to be framed.
SUPPLIES
Watercolors, watercolor paper, brushes, a pencil and ruler.
Vintage ephemera if you have it but not needed
because you get 4 sheets to play with (see photo below).

About Kelly Hoernig
I have been an artist my entire life. It started with that wondrous box of crayons, art school and today it is still challenging me to grow, discover and explore anything that fascinates my creative side. I have been an artist full time for the past 27 years and it has been a wonderful journey so far. I cannot wait to see what the muse throws my way next.
